Mechanical Wheelchair for Pediatric Arthrogryposis Patient
Design Challenge
Design and develop a mechanical wheelchair that can be operated without fine motor skills, wrist movement, and flexion muscles.
Design Summary
After prototyping multiple solutions utilizing bike parts, we decided to purchase and modify a set of wheels called Wijit wheels. Finishing our project will involve finalizing the design of our wheelchair during a final safety review and creating documentation so that the wheelchair can be repaired by any OEDK user.
