Project Title
A Digital Cure for Epilepsy
Design Challenge
Over 1 million Americans suffer from intractable epilepsy and require alternative methods for seizure management. Our goal is to develop an implantable device which will predict a seizure before it occurs and deliver low-frequency electrical stimulation to mitigate the oncoming seizure. We are part of a multi-year team to provide a digital cure for epilepsy. Our focus this year is to develop and implement machine learning algorithms for seizure prediction using specialized hardware.
