Topic - Medical Technologies for Low Resource Settings

These events are round table discussions that will highlight ongoing engineering design work of our current undergraduate students. Each evening will focus on a particular theme in engineering. You are invited to come share dinner with the students as they present their design challenge and solutions, and then seek advice about their design projects from seasoned engineers.

Between 4-6 design projects will be presented each evening between 5:30–7:30pm in the OEDK Classroom.

Dinner will be served.

Teams that will be presenting are:

Incubaby - Novel Neonatal Incubator or Radiant Warmer for the Developing World

First Hug
- Optimized System to Keep Neonates Warm

PulseFox - Reflectance Pulse Oximeter for Low-Resource Countries

SharpTank - Safe Needle Disposal in the Developing World

SteriVac - Reconstitution and Administration of Vaccines into One Accurate and Cost-efficient Device
