Due to the guidelines from Rice University and the CDC, the Engineering Design Showcase scheduled for April 16th has been CANCELED. Stay tuned for details about a possible alternate showcase.
Much of the success of the Engineering Design Showcase has been from having a diverse judging panel. Your honest feedback, willingness to help, and commitment to further engineering design at Rice contributes to the success of our program.
The deadline for signing up is Thursday, April 9th.

If possible, please check in at the registration desk for the design showcase in Autry Court by 4:15pm. You will receive a name badge, scorecard, poster location map, and judging instructions.
For those who will be attending the Judges Reception at 3:30, please check in at the registration desk prior to going into the reception, you may pick up your judging materials after the reception.
Judging will start promptly at 4:30pm. Depending on how long you spend with each team or how many teams you are judging, we hope that judging should only take no longer than an hour. Judges are to turn in their scorecards as soon as they are finished judging, so that the results may be tabulated. Judges will judge on two criteria, Technical Merit and Presentation Clarity, scoring between a 1 (poor) and 10 (excellent). Each judge will score between 4-6 teams and each team will be judged between 3 -5 times, depending on the number of judges/teams.
Awards will be announced as soon as all the scorecards are entered and winners are determined, approximately at 6:30pm.
There will be a judges reception at 3:30 in the Trauber Suite at Tudor Fieldhouse prior to the competition. We will have complimentary packaged snacks and drinks for judges, volunteers and student participants, during the competition.
