Wireless Neural Recorder
Design Challenge
Direct brain recordings are a key to understanding a variety of neurological illnesses. In our project, we will build a low-power wireless recording device to digitize neural signals from a 6-element electrode array and transmit to a local receiver. After a working prototype is created, the wireless neural recorder will be implemented in animals with the plan for eventual optimization and translation to human use as directed by UT Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Tandon.
