Renewable Alcohol to Jet Fuel Plant Design
Design Challenge
Our goal is to develop a process to produce Jet A-1 from renewable alcohols under the given specifications:
Capacity of 15,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd) of Jet A-1
Feedstock must be a renewable alcohol
At least 60% of the product must be jet fuel
All co-products and byproducts must be accounted for in the mass balance and economic analysis
Must meet specifications delineated in ASTM D1655
Responsible for economic analysis: Scheduling of Engineering, Procurement & Construction, the Capital Budget Model (Revenue, Costs of Good Sold, Variable and Fixed Costs, Internal Rate of Return and Net Present Value metrics
